Last-Minute Gift Ideas

Roundel columnist Rob Siegel has turned out a great book for all car lovers-and there's even some Porsche content thanks to his years with a 911 SC. From bits on Snap-On vs. Harbor Freight and family garage etiquette to VW camper engine builds in the kitchen and why repainting a car costs so darn much, Siegel covers a lot of ground in a humorous and intelligent-yet very approachable-way. Like Robert M. Pirsig (Zen and the Art of Motorcyle Maintenance), he strives to do more than fix BMWs in his writings-he strives to fix Siegel along the way. That's probably why his paperback became the best-selling automotive repair book on amazon.com, and broke into the online retailer's top 1,000 books.
